  Why are we all scolding/blaming Taiwan about the earthquake which disrupted the internet connection while we should be thinking about those injured in the earthquake?
  
  Are we that selfish that we care more for the Internet & games than other people's lives?

  I understand your frustrations LinLing.
  
  At the same time Im sure there are also many of us who do sympathise with the victims and their family and loved ones. Maybe these are the less vocal ones, that's why you are hearing the other side of the story.
  
  whatever it is, we can all pray for these victims and hope that their family will have the strength to go on.

  The sad answer to your question is yes. People always look at what's just in front of them and what affects them the most. Those people in Taiwan are far away, while the internet is here and now.
