  i read alot though not widely but most likely financial related content. this is because im most likely going this route in the future. however magazines i read like forbes and fortune, i read only for interest. how can i better harness it so that the knowledge remains in my long term memory?
  
  what skills i can learn from courses outside? speed reading? memory techniques etc? anyone been to such courses and personally benefittted from it and care to share?

  adam khoo got classes for speedreading too, in the "i m gifted, so are u " course, both motivational and educational, kill 2 birds with 1 stone

  this course is designed for kids or students who are still studying.

  maybe you can try reading other books
  
  or if you want to improve yourself. since you're interest lies in the financial sector. than go take up a financial course in private schools.
  
  u can try Wealth Management - this is a course which teaches u on all financial related stuff.
