For those who have "nothing to lose" ultimately they still have their own life. -
U learn and gain experience from failing.. those new knowledge and experience will get you closer to success. So in a way, that saying is true.
Of course, there's a diff between taking un-needed risks and CALCULATED risks. -

People define success differently. Let's assume its financial wealth for example.
Not every long term financial goal need to be high risk, in fact data suggests that most millionaires in the US are simply people who live below their means. Slowly, year by year their savings and conservative investments accumulate into millions.
Quick success on the other hand, usually come with high risk. Speculation in volatile stocks is a quick way to make/lose millions. Many who dare to fail often do fail.
Only the rare success stories are featured. -

who no degree no diploma work very hard
even on weekends doing outdoor sales
even holidays also burn
After many years of hardwork . hardwork pay off
of course say is easy doing is hard -
I am wondering can be borrow 10mil from bill gate and put it in DBS fixed deposit for a few years, then return the 10mil to bill gate after 10 years.

That's sound advice but the popular literature is packed with success stories where people made it when they try just one more time...
Failure stories are severely undersampled, nobody wants to read those even though those stories are far more informative than success stories. -
