  I think pregnant singaporeans should get that kind of amount too.
  How to fund that? The medical, education subsidies given to foreigners

  Slowing down of birth rate is natural, especially in land-scarce place like Singapore.
  
  More people, not enough land, land become more expensive, people breed less. Natural right?
  
  If government gives out money, doesn't that mean the land prices will go up too?
  
  And the final effect is the same, only a certain number of people will breed, right?

  I think having babies is a serious enough big ticket item and obscene
  govt subsidy help is much needed to fix our baby problem. After all, when you look at obscene big ticket items such as minister and civil servant salaries, foreign medical/education subsidies, sports talent rewards, etc, how big were those problems (if at all) that needed really obscene big payouts?
