Anyway in my story, people from the middle-age lady's family sometimes say that they have 5000+ years history, though that is quite a stretch.
Of course that is not meaningful. The entire cultural history of humankind is 10,000+ years old, but so what?
Why is that a bragging right? Especially if I have not learnt anything from that vast history and haven't expressed a single cogent insight.
If I am 30 years old - I am 30 years old. A few thousand years of family history doesn't automatically make me any wiser or better.
