Salary market rate?

I had a group meeting with my HR last time and he was talking about salary and market rate. Apparently, HR survey companies has some way of gathering information on the salary data of people on similar jobs in similar industries. I'm just wondering if anyone knows how the average layman like us, get to know of our our actual 'market value'?

1~2k most common for fresh.. yet the cost of our housings and cars are highest among the world pity man we're really pity.. -
how much are fresh poly grads and uni grads getting nowadays...?

THis quarter economy looks brighter than last year same period, so aim high. Over-inflate, than go low low low.
