  set up company with him, if he is clean, appoint him as director, if he is not clean, Offical Assignee (OA) will be after him.
  
  BC is not crime
  but after BC, committed stupid mistake , he ask for trouble

  Get his ic, and name then check with credit bureau. Their office is at shenton way. If you got credit card, you can get the report immediately. SGD$5.25, inclusive prevailing gst. Or go post office to apply and wait for snail mail to send to you.

  You can go to Supreme Court and conduct bankruptcy searches against that person for a small fee. I was once required to conduct a bankruptcy search against myself for the purposes of an application.

  Invite him out to lunch. after the meal, excuse yourself to the toilet. Observe him from out of his sight. If he's bankrupt, he will start panicking like mad. These people don't eat out unless it's a treat.
