last time ppl got nothing to do ma. So when those ppl invent keyboard , they anyhow put so will take more time to type.

actually its because of the typewriter.
last time if you type too fast the typewrite will jam de so they spread out the keys to slow down the typing -
Yeap, people typed too fast when the keyboard is put in alphabetical order and thus causing the keyboard to spoil.
Therefore the QWERTY keyboard is built to slow down typing. That's what I read.

and it stuck because pple are just too lazy to change even though there are tonnes of other ones that might be better.
on a side note, qwerty keyboards are not the only ones that are around. i like frence or germany use another type of layout also -
Because as compared to typewriters, you don't have to worry about jamming on a computer. When you jam on a typewriter, it can really either spoil your typewriter, or it will mess up your doc and you'll have to type again.Originally posted by FBI:i don get it because we can still type fast now? -
