3. i cant give a definite answer here, but as far as i know, it's almost impossible to catch up if you're planning to join a sport that's already being offered in sec sch (eg tennis, basketball w/e) because the school players would most probably remain in it. It's much easier to join a sport/club that's new.

If you join sports like Basketball, then you'll probably lose out more because there are lots of people who knows how to play reasonably well. Joining CCAs which has just been established, or only offered in certain JCs, may give you a higher advantage since everyone has almost the same standard, and that may boost your chance to participate in competitions and stuff.

2. yes. u'd have to work harder on it yeah. jus have to get used to e jargons they use, and e format and style of writing, n u'd b fine. most of e things there u'd learn wld b new, and o level geog can only help u minimumly.
3. i picked up new cca. from indoor activity to doing outdoor sports...depends on ur sch, if ur sch is sports orientated, then go ahead, as it can also help u in ur NAPFA tests. yes i lost out to those in sec sch, but i had great improvements in it too. its how much determination u put in dear.
n also time mgmt it impt, as i took up two ccas (since i was a band member in sec sch) i rep e sch band in perfomances but was still mainly active in netball, which is my first sporting passion... -
1. it will feel strange at first because you are taking less subjects compared to o'levels but the workload is heavier. also, they go by the lecture system so it might be quite hard to adapt at first because one teacher teaches hundreds of students all together at once so you wont get much attention from the teacher. for example u cant stop the lesson and delay hundred of students because you didnt copy the slides fast enough. lastly, you have to be more responsible for your own learning... teachers wont go looking for you to ask you whether you know whats going on during lessons, you have to take the initiative and go find the teacher yourself in your own time.Originally posted by littlefishtan!:1. 2. i dont take geog sorry.
3. most ccas dont mind taking in new people, but some prefer experienced people or newbies with potential... like the dances or sports. -

1) u have to be independent..find things out for yourself. ask if you dont noe anything..because teachers arent gonna spoonfeed u anymore. more breaks..but u dont realli do anything during breaks except doing tutorials.and sometimes, u dont hand in tutorials, but u still have to do..Originally posted by littlefishtan!:1. Some CCA groups snub those who are new to the sport or weren't part of the secondary school team.
