even if the world is one nation, war can still happen. Riots, disagreements, etc etc. each of us have our own opinions. and there will always be someone who will disagree with us. World as one nation does not mean world with no war, aka peaceful world. For a world of constantly squabbling and mutually distrusting people to become one nation, you will need a very big and violent Army.
For a world of diverse and sometimes antagonistic cultures to have the same law, same currency, same language and same vision... you will need a very big and violent Army AND a uber-sized propaganda department.
Personally I prefer a world with hundreds of squabbling nations fighting small wars, rather than a unified world government with immense power and centralized control over every single living human on the planet.

If world nation is run such a way that everyone is treated same way under civil rule, it is not impossible to get rid of riots and communal violance. i wonder why people think this is a good way to move forward...
it steps on a few rights of people who want to believe that there is a higher power.. in that, there will be seeds of unrest...
then, people seem to conveniently forget that in a few countries that have tried to abolish religion (see the communists) and subsequently had to open up their countries again, there was a lack of morality, a sense of right and wrong, in their people.. PRC is a good example.. after years of official rejection of religion, even to the state of rejecting their cultural teaching by confucious, you see now a people driven to "success" and material gain at all costs and by any means...

Religions cannot be forcibly abolished... the process is as painful and pointless as forcibly unifying the world as one State.
Everyone should be free to choose their religion as they like, but religious groups should not be in a position of governmental or military power. -

I dont think its possible to have the same currency.
Or rather no point to it.
The value of currency is being depend on the amount of money print anually by the goverment.
So even if the currency is the same, the resources we have is still fixed, so whats the point? -

all there would be will be internal riots and civil unrest
and u can't argue about defence budget (becos no other nations)
