Right now Comet McNaught (2006P1) is in the sky, about 10 degrees away from the Sun.
This is how it looked like, photo taken last week in Sweden.

Comet McNaught is one of the brightest comets in the past 30 years. Current estimates of its brightness is about -2 magnitude, slightly dimmer than Venus.
Unfortunately for us, the comet is in a very awkward position to see.
The best time to see the comet is about 7.15 pm in the evening, when the comet is very very low on the horizon.
If you are lucky enough to have a clear western sky (or if you are in a tall building), observe the western sky starting around 7pm. When the sun sets, the comet will be upper left of the setting sun (about 10.30 o'clock bearing).

Comet McNaught will be visible until 20th Jan. However, every evening it will get lower and lower in the horizon and harder to see.
Since it will always be near the Sun, please be careful
NEVER TO POINT OPTICAL INSTRUMENTS AT THE SUN! NEVER STARE DIRECTLY AT THE SUN!Take care, and successful Sgforumers please update us here!
