what Does ADF do??

  hello everyone. Does anyone know what the saf combat unit ADF do? what is the trainning like, same as the premierpan one anot, got any promotions anot...i only o level. plz give advice.... thanx

  If a unit carried milans means its an anti-armour unit, nothing to do with planes, as far as i know Milan can't shoot planes...

  My camp had one ADF company. Everyone in ADF is a regular. They learn about almost everything, much like guards/commandos. But it doesn't look too tough...
  
  To be honest... everyone is damn slack even before training start. Probably because all are regulars. From what I see... they are even more ill-disciplined than my infantry unit in the same camp.

  Advanced Defense Force or something liddat...you field test all the new phase equipment before mass production for use is commenced...which means you're kinda like a test pilot...it's bloody xiong I heard from those people who signed up for it. I'm not totally sure on the accuracy of my information though...that's what the 'salesmen' told us during the BMT army recruitment talks.

  I believe ADF means Air defence Force. They are part of RSAF and they do cheong mountain. Quite shiong. For O level must try to upgrade when you join the force then promotions will be waiting for you. First Class Air force First class people

  I think ADF means Area Defence Force....job is to guard airbase....they kinda work shifts...something like work 3 day off 2 days kind of thing...
  
  Anyway..I not too sure about the accuracy of this info...better verify with CMPB or something.....

  Air Defense Brigade comes under Air Defense Systems Division which is part of the RSAF. ADSD is responsible for the multi-layer air defense systems covering S'pore. There's regulars & NSFs in it(although most of us are regulars). Mistrals,P-stars,I-hawks,AA guns, Rapier are some of the systems it operates.

  My apologies to all.....My info above is wrong....the description should be for FDS... ..I attach the correct info below....taken from the RSAF website....
  
  Field Defence Squadron (FDS)
  
  The Field Defence Squadron ensures the security of the air base through regular perimeter patrols and controlling personnel movement within the base. During operations, it provides ground defence of the air bases against enemy infiltration. The FDS operates at all four air bases.
  
  HQ ADSD's SSSO acts to advise and direct FDS personnel on matters pertaining to tactical and strategic operations, training, professional upgrading and career advancement.
