Who is elite?

The term "elite" has become the new insult in street talk.
But who is elite?
Is it all JC students? Is it all graduates? Is it all civil servants? Or all rich people.
What is your definition of elite? -
People whom care enough about the others in society to do something about it.

i think its a wrong question to ask. Cos i think for most people, elites are anybody who is simply snoobish and proud. To me, thats not really an elite.

I am more interested in the details. If a poor boy who lives in a one-room rental flat and has primary six education is snobbish and proud (because he got gang), would you call him "elite"? -

To what extent are they elite?
Let's say there is a gahmen scholar who is educated in the US, has a rich family and is stuck up. But he is only paid $5000 a month, because he is a young scholar.
Is he elite?
What about a chef who is trained in Europe, never took a cent from the gahmen, but is very supportive of the gahmen. He is paid $10,000 a month and looks down on everybody, because he is damn good at culinary art.

yes.. then he is consider an elite in the culinary world.. there alot of type of elite..

elites are people who pay themselves many months bonus when they had not done anything to benefit the society. instead, they are making things worse off than it is.
