Help: My friend got depression

This guy in my class called guy A, he has like depression or sth, thats why didnt come to sch since start of year. Hes coming back next month and i would like to help him and support him as a classmate. How do i start getting to know him and showing concern and things like that? I didnt talk to him at all last year.

He went to hospital den teacher told us hes under a lot of care now. He tried to commit suicide or sth.

no i mean after he come back and recover... No hes not goodlooking yea, his face got one damn big birthmark. =( very poorthing. But since my motto is like "treat all people, regardless of appearances, like they are angels from heaven" so i want to like do sth to help as a classmate lor.

first of all, make sure you know the real reason why he wasnt at school.
if he really did attempt suicide, you have to know the reason why before you can even try to do anything else to erm...help.
and its definitely NOT a good idea to go up to him and go 'hi. i heard that you attempted suicide. issit because you had depression????'
if ur sure its depression. go do some research on the it.
there are things you can and cannot say to a depressed person... -

but no matter how good a writer one is, you have to be clinically depressed to be able to actually understand it...
many pple tend to use this word when they are simply UPSET, and not really actually depressed....
internet got plenty of stuff. plenty of books about it too. dont be lazy

Those ppl who are not depressed in front of others but depressed while alone is the real sad cases who need alot of love and help.
Those who are depressed 24/7 should be shot. No one likes to look at a grumpy face all the time. And NO it doesn't make you look cool. -

now i have sort of recover but not completely cos i still fear of facing pple.. it a pyschological barrier that u have to overcome it.. no one can help u.. -
