How come no one gives a hoot abt singapore sports?

Yesterday. singapore played indonesia in an impt semis qualifying match.
usually when there's some damn shit match in the epl, like watford vs shreffield or smt, there would still be some discussion.
well the singapore match was damn exciting.. really. similiar to a man u chelsea clash kinda thing.. just that the players unknown la.
i think we shd really support local soccer. the term local soccer sounds damn unappetising i know.. but just try watching a match its fun!! -

I have my own theory.
Firstly, Singaporeans are busy with work or school.
They themselves dont have time to do sports, or even have sex, according to survey.
As such, sports is a distant realm in their life.
Secondly, since you mentioned soccer, another complementary theory for this:
It is perhaps not nice to say, but, I think soccer in Singapore is un-glam.
It is not nice to dwelve deeper into it.

I was kinda aiming at general sports locally
Although S League players some are import, at least its a somewhat good mix of locals. Since Soccer worldwide trade players back and forth so i can accept that.
Yeah i think its true the avg singaporean won't want to be a full time sportsman.
How many sucess stories you hear of them anyway? People would laugh at the idea of Sports being your rice bowl. -
