I'm taking this with a pinch of salt.. STOMP is merely some more crumbs that "Big Brother" threw to us citizens to act as a distraction..
It's so heavily edited, and only the petty grievances (like this) or imbalanced pro-government views are aired there. Makes us citizens sound stupid and immature. I wonder for what? By highlighting petty, baseless little things like this, is "Big Brother"' trying to psycho us into thinking that we need "him" coz we can't we aren't mature enough to broach more important topics.. like those to do with politics and country affairs?

I agree that this STOMPing is getting rather out of hand. If those STOMPers think that they've caught someone doing wrong, they should report to the relevant authorities such as the police, rather than post the pictures online. This practice of posting pictures on STOMP is not only unhelpful, but it can also potentially damage the reputations of innocent people beyond repair. In addition, STOMPers occasionally post pictures of what they misunderstand as wrong-doing without knowing the context of the situation.
Another worry about this trend is that the internet forum can be turned into some sort of social control tool in which people are forced to conform to certain social standards or norms of behaviour imposed by a so-called majority for the fear of being publicly shamed if they do not comply.
This has to stop. The moderators of STOMP should do something about this. Nobody has the right to force another to live by moral standards not of his own choosing, as long as the person is not proven to be breaking the law. -
The best way is to write in to Straits Times and politely ask them to exert more control Stomp. Especially "Singapore Seen"

Agreed, STOMP is becoming a joke and some people are being unfairly put into the spotlight like this. Ok fine there is a chance he is being a peeping tom, but give him benefit of the doubt, do you really think he would be a peeping tom right in the open like that? I think if I was going to stare into people's houses with binoculars then I might at least try draw the curtains and be alot more inconspicuous.

I think stompers are those immature and childish ppl. When they post the pictures never use their brain to think.. Who is the peep tom? Go around using a camera and taking others ppl photo is no right thing to do. If ppl are doing that. Those stompers are no much different from them. I think the government should do something to Stompers. Does it mean you got strong backing you can anyhow do things.
