STOMP contributor Caserina was flabbergasted and disgusted by this woman, whom he calls “the epitome of national disgrace”.
His revulsion at her actions stemmed from her rushing into the cabin of an MRT on 16 January at the Bukit Batok Station, and her using two seats as a bed subsequently.
Recounted Caserina, in the email sent to STOMP:
“On that day, I noticed that two corner seats were available on the train as it approached the station platform. This woman stood in front of me, looking eager and all. I thought it would be great as we could each have a seat.
However, when the doors opened, she dashed for the seats. Yes, both seats. To do what? To sleep.”
The STOMPer told us the woman commuter “closed her eyes and slept immediately, and didn’t even bother to look around if anyone else wanted a seat.”
All the reader did was to stand there, in what he says, “in shock and disgust”.
He wonders:
“Everyone pays the train fare, so what makes her a VIP to have the privilege to have two seats?”
Caserina wants to make a call out to those who know this woman, to tell her “not to behave badly as it really reflects badly on the quality of mankind.”
Agreed. Although I think that sort of behavior should be condemned, but what right does the person have to take a photograph? Time and time again, we see people complain about minor things that irk them, and even send in photographs of that action, but who are we 2 go and take photographs, and then send into forums to complain, when we are no saints ourselves?Originally posted by hatemeifuwantto:this kind of thing so common nowadays...i wonder when will i get caught doing smth retarded by stomp![]()

ya loh.... i'm more digusted at the fact that the all the commuters around did was just stand around and rant angry thoughts loudly in their heads. And when that is not enough, you take picture and submit to STOMP. This contributor lagi best, wants other ppl to tell her cannot do such thing on the train.Originally posted by nanren4ever:Agreed. You mean your mom could have been doing something like that?Originally posted by 798:what happened if the lady is ur mum? there might be some reason dat the lady did it this way. when the person who posted this sort of pictures to shame others in public domain, do u think it is unethic?
We have every right to take a photo in a public place and post it on STOMP. Name and shame is effective...the cries of outrage certainly indicate that it works. If she takes two seats, she must pay double the fare.Originally posted by nanren4ever:Agreed. You have the right to take a photo in public place, no doubt about it. But what right do people have, taking photos of people they DON'T KNOW, and post it, saying that their behaviors stink?Originally posted by oxford mushroom:We have every right to take a photo in a public place and post it on STOMP. Singaporeans must have the guts to tell her off. Humiliation in public will often do it. If she does not respond, photograph her face and post it on STOMP.
Maybe she's not even a Singaporean to start with... From the way she's dressed and her built, my guess might be that she's a PRoC...Originally posted by ghimpheng:

Me had seen lots of such acts on the trains daily... So it's still up to us whether do we want to make that call of manner to these people to be more considerate...
If their behavior stinks, they stink. It is perfectly legal to post such photos as long as they are not obscene...let the public decide if their action is acceptable.Originally posted by nanren4ever:You have the right to take a photo in public place, no doubt about it.
