Some Questions on Ebay.. insurance etc..

  1.)is buying insurance on ur ebay purchases necessary?
  
  2.)then usually shipping from us to sg average cost abt how much??
  
  3.)Then wad is this "tracking" which i still have to pay additional for it??
  
  4.)Then im below 18 n dont own a credit card..so can bank transfer to paypal safe??any experienced user or any more info of this method of payment??
  
  cuz i see alot things cheap cheap then +insurance,shipping,other costs in all usd/gbp then convert to sgd almost the same price i buy from shops le -.-

  1. Never bought insurance. In fact I never seen anyone asking for insurance. What are u buying?
  
  2. Not sure. But I paid 5USD that time.
  
  3. Tracking is to track down your stuff when u bought it. After purchase, the seller will give u a tracking ID which he got from the package delivery company example DHL. So u can check thru DHL where ur stuff is.
  
  4. I dun think you can transfer money from bank to paypal.

  around 25usd. sg bank to paypal the transfer damn long for the first time though...

  insurance is useless, unless items are several to tens thousands dollars worth, imo.

  hmm personally i buy from US online retailers like sanrio.com / wetseal.com / amazon.com etc.
  
  then i ship it through www.vpost.com.sg which is run by SingPost.
  
  so sanrio or amazon or wetseal will send my item to a US address, which singpost will be there to pick up the package and reroute it to singapore and to your house.
  
  i use a debit card to pay and if you can't, you can use vpost's econcierge. they pay for u to the america side, u can pay vpost in enets etc. (i think)
  
  for further info u can call singpost directly since they are in singapore..
  
  for ebay.. not sure already.
  
  i'm still trying to buy something from yahoo auctions taiwan =/ so troublesome

  No need to buy insurance..... So far after 200+ purchaces, I have all receipt all items via normal or registered mails. Select to buy from seller that have over 100+ sales and have good records. These are the one long term selling, and are not out for quick money.
  
  Just Ship via US post via air that the cheapest .
  
  Well Bank transfer via paypal is safe. Just make sure you triple check the accounts when you setup the account. If there is mistake, it will be hard and time consuming to get the transaction reverse.
  
  My advice is buy from US - USD is cheap & shipment is also cheaper. GBP will kill you - as the exchange rate is horrible !!!
