With the STI index hitting an 'all time high', could this move be to give themselves a 'pat on the back' for a job 'well done'?
For a president that does a wholely ceremonial duty, what purpose could possibly be served by raising his annual salary?
Is there some hidden workscope that drives the president on a daily basis that the people are unfamiliar with, thus making him deserving of his current salary?
What price has the people paid in terms of the upcoming rise in GST, coupled with annual increases in transportation charges, all this while our real pay has remained stagnant despite calls from the govy to stay competitve and relevant?
Has exhorbitant taken on a new meaning to those in power that 'Money STILL no enough'? -
our president ex-spy leh....who knows he may be working covertly when going overseas for 'official' purposes...which may explain why he needs the extra cash to hire native spies or buy those high-tech gadgets using budgets allocated for 'entertainment' lol
