Is this mentality of a slacker?

I always admire those ang mo backpacker types(met and chatted with quite a number while overseas)
They do not have a regular job,but they go around the world while doing odd jobs to sustain their backpacking travels.
After certain poignant experiences in my life,I felt that Life is too short to work all the time.
I would love to be like these ang mos and see the world while I am still young.
I mentioned these to a few of my male kakis and they say I am not very practical.. -

Well i tried it for 6 months for this lifestyle..
Short term maybe can for average Singaporeans who want to take a extended vacation around the world...
Not viable long term definitely...
You would be surprised plenty of Singaporeans are doing this also.
Try it out at least once in your life.. -
Why not? It's definitely a good experience, Provided you do not have a family to substain. I'll say 1 to 3 years should be enough? By then you should be about 2x close to 30...
Still got time to settle down.. -

its a good life actually...but not many are brave enough to pursue it...
you work for ur living...isn't it good?at the same time u get to see the world.

hmmm.. i been wanting to backpack across Southeast Asia for a start since a few years ago.. no money to start..
