low storage capacity on C drive

stated as above.i have a D drive.can i like drag programmes files over to D-drive to even up the storage space

Depends whether there are registry entries and executables with paths.
If you have a program which has registry entries and other path-dependancies, once you drag it away, the program will not work. Sometimes it's troublesome because you dont know what needs to be changed.
