Approached by irritating surveyors outside Takashimaya

I was walking down today outside Takashimaya & minding my own business & listening to my mp3, when suddenly appear this girl who appear to be doing some survey approach me. It was like she was a vulture swopping at anyone who was passing by....guess what happened next....
I ran into Taka dept store hehe & I did catch some of her fellow surveyors laughing
Seems like everywhere is flooded with surveyors....so anyone avoid them like the plague & what methods do you adopt?

1> look ahead n ignore..
2> act like u dun understand wat they saying..
3> just say no.. to surveyors..
4> scan for surveyors at least 10 m before hand n avoid dat stretch of road..
lastly..
5> when u have time, just ans the first option on all their questions..

10yrs later how come still got ppl approaching me to do the same freaking survey!?!?!??! -
I do mind doing the survey if they are young & pretty.

I also saw beauty salon surveyors but they don't really approach people...unless you are a girl -
they are just making a living...

how many times must i repeat myself,
just walk straight and give a blank look.
never stop, never give any reply/answer, just look straight (eyes dont move around) and walk -
if they die die want me to take their survey... i'd just go with the flow and give them false info.....
especially those doing with credit, bank or insurance. "oh yeah yeah yeah, you can reach me at this number *give random 8 digit hp number*" -
i had unpleasant experience with the surveyors, so now when i see them i avoid them.
i once gave false info to a duno what model agency, she (surveyor) appeared out of nowhere and i just give fake 1.. my mobile number very nice 1 -

Its your fault, you weren't paying attention to your surroundings. I believe these are students doing projects, and those others are basically Survey cum Sales-pitch.
I always say I "No time.. I'm busy and no thanks." -

Just tell them you're not Singaporean. Most of them bugger off after that.

avoid making eye contact and they most probably wont approach you.

They are either doing surveys for:
1. Time sharing (on my blacklist)
2. Executive Club membership (on my blacklist)
3. Credit cards (Soon-to-be on my blacklist)
4. Shopping surveys
5. Insurance road shows
No need to run, coz it means you 'fear' their presence. Just politely decline the survey, regardless of how they try to cajole you. Don't let it spoil your mood. -
Just treat it as some beggar begging for money and ignore!
