It depends on what drives you.
I've tons of friends who are happy just being employees with a regular income for the rest of their lives.

it depends on the situation that you're in.
the amount of liabilites that you have to pay each month.
the amount of commitement and salary ratio.
primary factor = interest.
if you have the interest to be an entrepreneur, than you will minimize your expenses and liabilites to focus on your business.

top job. lesser stress n time consuming compare to entrepreneur.

I personally feel entreprenaurship is the essence of being a complete person.
End of the day, you are happy that it is only u who is responsible for your fate. It's like driving ur own car and not having to depend on a chauffer's skills and decision making prowess! Take the front seat, drive your destiny to success; Be an entreprenaur!

Cynic or realist; up to you >>
Entrepreneurs are people who cannot find or hold top jobs to me.
I highly doubt the validity of any figures or statistics declaring outlandish financial returns on being an entrepreneur; I do not deny their existence but I strongly and firmly believe they are a minority.
My one sentence view of entrepreneurs also stems from the very watered down meaning we give to the word in Singapore.
Anyone can be an entrepreneur, but not everyone can be (e.g. property agent, frontline sales agent, business analyst). Given that this is sgForums, to indemnify myself from any statements taking my views to the extreme, I make clear now that I mean the readiness by which someone can become an compared to becoming an entrepreneur.
But yea la ... entrepreneurs are hotter; they get heaps of media publicity and so much public recognition ... general consensus and response seems to rank entrepreneurs up there with accountants, engineers, doctors etc.
