extra 10k annuallyOriginally posted by CoolMyth:10K more monthly or annually?
Even if annually, that translates to roughly 800 more monthly.
I'll take the 2 years contract one.![]()

From the grapevine, I only know that the particular position is dependent on funding from government research grants and if the funding is pulled - the extension does not exist . The benefits however is good - the networks that can be formed are excellent and one may ( note: MAY) be able to plough ahead if one can keep the networks happy. But that usually comes with the downside, the networks are unhappy - you die standing.Originally posted by bigmouthjoe:Is there any chance for extension? If got I would take the 10k more..
depending on the number hours, the kind of work you do and the enviroment. if the staff ard is okay, i suppose 2 years can pass quite easily. is there any other catch to the former one? coz 10k is uqite alot. you decide bahx, its your life.Originally posted by fymk:Out of curiosity
Would you accept a job which pays more (let's say an extra 10k more) with a time limited contract of 2 years?
Or
would you prefer to take a job that does not pay that extra but you will be appointed as on-going staff?
It will be like a temporary promotion about 2 levels up. They asked me if I am interested because my ex boss recommended me into it. However it will have to be through an agency acting as a third party, it will be faster for them to acquire staff rather than waiting for 2 months and also that way I can enter by the backdoor instead of shoving my way into the front .Originally posted by crimsontears:depending on the number hours, the kind of work you do and the enviroment. if the staff ard is okay, i suppose 2 years can pass quite easily. is there any other catch to the former one? coz 10k is uqite alot. you decide bahx, its your life.

since the former is much more advantagous for you, perhaps you can weigh the both jobs. like say, do you have enough time of your own? which would allow you to stablise yourself. jobs are hard to get now, we haven't got choice but to be practical you get wht i mean? money is impt undoubt, but if its a "venture" you considered not safe or anything, money's nothing.Originally posted by fymk:It will be like a temporary promotion about 2 levels up.
