go Uni after poly, how they choose who can go Uni?

  Yes, provided it's D7. If they accept you, you will need to retake O Levels English and pass it on your retake. Otherwise, you will be out of poly. Also, you have to go for some English enrichment courses. Failing which, out also.

  I don't see how O'level english matters at Uni level given that 2-3 (for girls) or 4-5 year would have passed before the O' holder becomes an undergrad. If i want to determine a candidate's standard of english, a short interview will do the job just nice.

  Actually I heard that markers just randomly pick a few papers from the students and mark. And if ur English is poor and he unlikely pick ur paper, u r doom; else u can escape scot-free.

  but from what i see.. those who fail QET are those who done badly in O level.. or malaysian..

  from what i heard.. only a few percent of the students fail QET.. cos they cant possible open so many english class for those who fail.. perhaps you are lucky that there are a fair amount of ppl who are either the same or worst than u...

  i think ultimately, the uni will accept u if u r a DwM holder, even if ur english olvl grade is E8 or F9.

  if i m not wrong.. can apply straight after ur JC or POLY.. dun have to wait after NS.

  i think if u r already in NS, u can only apply if u serve a min of 1 year, and NS can let u have early disrupt to further studies but u must serve the remaining months back.

  non-DwM holders are also in...without interviews or whatever...maybe they just missed the DwM criteria in poly.
