Hi . I am just wondering for those O and A level ginna, what kind of math and phy text books u prefer? What are the things that u feel is lacking in ur current text? More examples needed or better summary on techniques used to solve problem... I dun like to see many ginna stressed up and breakdown crying...so may create a free online text on this 2 subjects...

if the teachers can make ur students understand, its okay already. once he understand, then practice will be even more easy already.. -

That is why my fren and I decides to create a free online texts...Many teachers just read from text, might as well dun teach since students can read themselves. The text books in use are pretty boring. If I am not wrong, the phy text used is phy insight for O level. In A level, it is worse...Many Jc kids dont even read text because sch provides notes. Some sch hav fantastic notes while others are too skimpy...
My suggestion to those who are weak in phy concepts to read this book"conceptual physics by Paul G Hewitt" This is a good book to read esp those who wants to break free of nasty mathematics equations 1st.
For me, I am fortunate that I have wonderful maths and physics teachers. Without them, I most prob will break down and cry too...
Maybe I shld even write to MOE to increase the quality of teachers because many cant teach. I have to personally teach my A level brother because his teacher cant even answer his questions confidently and worse"I will check 4 u and tell u tmr" but the tmr never come... -
MOE could set a standard to use a specific set of notes throughout all secondary schools and Junior Colleges.
They have the syllabus, and it's best for them to actually create the notes.
It seems odd to me that each school creates different set of notes, of varying standards.
