  how do mediacorps keep track of viewership ratings?

  i always thought is count by the number of tvs connected to that channel, but the tv must be connected for a certain period of times then counted as 1 (not sure how to count number of people) viewership....

  b4 kept hearing AC nielson's report on the viewership for mediacorp, now dunno!!! anyway, how they got the figures it's also derive from some statistical method. WEll, this way figures can also be meddled around!!!

  because if accidentally switch to that channel for 2 seconds then switch to other channels, shouldnt be counted right
