Centipede bite kills pregnant woman and baby

I was bitten by one on my neck (though I never saw it) in Tekong.
It was so painful that I woke up. I felt it with my hands and there was blood on it.
The medic said usually with these kind of wound (2 seperate punctures), it is either centipede or snake bites, and I would have been dead by then if I was bitten by the latter.
I was taken to the sick bay and the MO could do NOTHING, but to apply a cream on it and monitor my condition.
I tried to sleep in the sick bay but my neck was so painful and numb that I just couldn't.
It took me 2 weeks for the pain to fully subside and 2 months for the scar to disappear.

My friend in army say small kind only damm pain + fever nia.
Big kind will die sometimes. -
