Some1 frm Lee family attacking Govt's biomed investments

Have a look at Sunday Times, frontpage. Under the column 'Who will win the clash of the titans', there's a photo of 2 persons.
On the left is Philip Yeo. On the right is Dr Lee Wei Ling.
Read Page 6, and you'll find out that Dr Lee is actually the daughter of MinMentor Lee KY.
Now that she has commented rather negatively on the govt's biomedical focus (i.e. resources are curently spread too thin; she proposes focusing on niche diseases instead), I wonder how the Govt will respond to her, considering who she is...
Hopefully such a charge from someone as influential as Dr Lee would publicise to the public how some of the Govt's policies/promises should not be taken at face value. Comments? -

its kinda obvious the biomedical industry in singapore is going nowhere.. what Dr Lee said is quite true... resources spread too thinly.
they spent BILLIONS of tax payers money.. so far i dont see any significant results or disease cure or what-not.. only news keep saying they invited ths and that scientist to work here
not forgetting the thousands of foreigners and ther 5-digit salary spent..
anyway, Biopolis.. very high tech place

Thats true, there is lots of hype but so far nothing tangible comes out of it. Lots of biotech students like me are either working in other industries or doing less than qualified jobs...
So will the biotech industry eventually pick up? And when? -
