32 maxwell road would be the white house next to the old traffic police hq lor, yes, the red building. You're in luck, coz directly opposite is mnd building, and there is a food centre behind, 2 storeys worth. I usually go there for the lor mee on weekends, have to queue, its on the 2nd floor.
There is a zhi char store on the 1st floor, great har chiong kai though I don't go there anymore. -

across the road got amoy street
down the road got food street and maxwell
behind got small coffeeshop, bp food court, tg pagar hawker and amara.
the chicken rice shop inside tg pagar plaza also good, but crowded during lunch. -
Amara hotel the food court, korean hot plate beef very nice, but a bit salty, expect super long queues during lunch, otherwise that food court is as dead as a doornail other times.

during lunchtime u can run over to red dot traffic museum to have ur singing class at ocean butterfly.

I ate there today! The vegetarian food is very nice! AND FOR THE FIRST TIME, I WITNESS OFFICE WORKERS USING A PACKET OF TISSUE PAPER TO RESERVE A SEAT AT THE FOOD CENTRE!
