Hi all, sometime in last year Aug to end of Oct, i worked as a data migration engineer for the SIA PC Refresh organised by Enapps, it was a part time job as i just ORD-ded then... Those who frequent hardwarezone.com would find this job familiar as it has an atrractive pay attached to it and there is alot of ppl posting their replys of wanting this job... $15 per PC refreshed... basic job, do harddisk transfer from old pc to new pc, remap networks and config inhouse programs... and 1 Pc will not take longer then 1.5hrs...
Here is where my probs (and other temps) come in.... the company that hired us called Enapps... and promised us monthly payment which never did... they gave us "adv payments" of $100-$300 here and there to pacify our request for the full monthly payment for every PCs that we refreshed... 2 mths passed and i recieved only $500 for 2 mths when i calculated i chld recieved at least $1700 and thats when i decided to quit in early Nov... as i dun see the prospect in getting a full payment and i am not going to be cheap labour... even my NS pay is much much higher... its now Feb and none of the part time workers incl me have not recieved our full pay check...
I would like to enquire whether anyone heard heard of Enapps as i believe it is a phony company... cant find their webby, or in yellowpages and our employers do not have name cards with Enapps on it... all i know it is a company that IBM outsourced to to handle this PC refresh project and that the project is projected to end in Nov....
Now its Feb and when we pressure them for full payment they keep giving excuses such as our paperwork dun tally with their database thus cannot bill SIA or SIA is holding the full payment... i personelly do not believe SIA is withholding the payment if not this "company" will go all out and make noise in newspaper or somthing like dat... and i am bout to make a police report... pls advise and sorry for the long post... -

Suggestions from fymk really help. Anyway, I think he did not grumble, simply stating the matter as fact so we can understand the whole deal. Asking for help in forum and asking anyone of us heard about the company, I don't think that is grumble and no reason why not be here.

more staff report, the better. I hate working with such company. sporeans employees already need to compete with foreign talents, yet Sporeans company never help fellow singaporeans..always try to make money out of their staff..bastardss

Confront them.. if not, go to MOM... you deserve your pay... Dun wait any time.. CNY, need money badly ~

Thanks all... will be confronting them b4 going to MOM... and shutterbug, i am not really grumbling lah but thanks for the advise too... i was juz giving the scenerio to seek advise from fellow sgforumers on wat to do b4 going to police... make that MOM... anywayz thanks again and thread close..

threaten to verify their claims with SIA, and lodge a complaint with MOM before informing them of your actions. push em hard for it. dun say "im gonna complain chiu to mom.", say "i've already consulted mom about this matters and this is wad we can do."

i went to work for that too. as in "that" project. the job scope is exactly like the one u mentioned. IBM too. SIA. my frens and i tot that its abit too fake to be true, and we left during lunch. without any notice. best solution now. go to MOM. dont wait.

threaten that u will go up to SIA if the issues dun get resolved at their level
no service provider will want to look bad infront of their customers.
let IBM pressure them to pay up, i m sure ur coy also dun want to look bad infront of IBM also
best if, gather more pple to go wif u, i m sure u made some friends there, make police report, write to paper, stir wadever shiat u can -
I and my friend was there for a day for their supposedly training when in the end we did nothing as we left after lunch. A friend worked under them and was underpaid and given same reason as above. If you're complaining to MOM, do let me know and I'll see if my friend is willing to furnish more details.

...got Judgement, yet he fleed. and never paid still..
lots of money...now 5 years, judgement paper defunct liao..so wat to say..

Welcome to the working world. There are many company out there which are like that. The questions are not why these companies are there or how to get even with them.
It is more important that you know how to protect yourself. To get back your hard earned salary, you must show proofs of your work done and duration of work. You must be able to provide the MOM with as much documentation of your employment as possible. Forget about settling your pay on your own. -

yeah they promised us a Cert from SIA of Certified Data Migration Specialist or something like that lah... No my boss is not Andy... i am under Ken Lee... overall incharge is Basil Tan... Basil is the short and stout fella who is a sweet talker and the one who bait us with incentives like certs and stuffs...

This is actually my first part time job without going thru job agency and after being "burnt" i am gonna let job agencies do the job searching for me even thou they jiak alot of our basic pay... at least i am gaurenteed a regular pay... -

This not of surprising since most singaporean bosses I seen have this fark-up attitude of viewing employees as costs, a burden, not as a value-laden contributer to the company, they think u own em and take their monies, not u helping to earn their profits

Report to police. Frankly MOM won't chup this matter.. dun ask me why. mom will mostly deal with prob tht's helped by someone working in govt. if u go there yourself they wont bother.
i'm working in a company where they've great connection with the minister..when staffs don't get their wages right e.g cant claim OT, holidays/eve work no OT.. they tried going mom but was no use. you can try. but i doubt it helps

Well, if you wish to find out who've yet to be paid, go to Hardwarezone.com and start a thread to find out. Also through there you can ask if any of them have reported the company for non-payment. -
I was also involved in the project and felt somewhat cheated too. It was holidays then for me and the pay was really pathetic. I was under andy and later under eugene and ken. Basil paid me only $200 and there were really lots of communication problem there. Hope you guys can get ur full pay back. I cant be bothered to get that few $$$ back....not wrth my time
