  Can put in fridge, just for a period of time, because flowers are still considered perishables.
  
  It won't dry if it's in the fridge, but it will lose it's freshness and turn bad.

  I put in fridge before but try not to exceed 4 days, it'll just dry up and the colour drained like your face when you go into shock. It still dried up even though I kept it hydrated with a wet wick at its stem.

  Treat it like any other leafy vegetable.. wrap it in newspaper and put it in the closed compartment of the fridge. If not, it might turn blackish.
  
  If you want to go further, wet some cotton wool and secure it at the base of the stem with aluminium foil & rubber band.
  
  If the rose petals are abit dry when you take it out, spritz it with fresh water & u're ready to go.
