Last time it was called Jurong Institute, then changed to Millenia Institute, one at Toh Tuck, the other Bartley, they merged this year at Bukit Batok. Frankly, only those who cant go anywhere will choose to go there. sure anot... eh i L1R4 19 pts... actually oso true lah , i dunno what courses to choose at poly, so study there and wan to go to U. coz i recently keep on getting negative things about MI , then i now having alot of negative thoughts abt it. lol

I was from Jurong Institute, MI's predecessor. Some of the students from JI then have gone on to qualify for places in Imperial College, ANU, Beijing University, Uni Melb etc.
It may not be as good as a JC in terms of the mentality and achievement quotient shared by the majority of the students, but it still offers a GCE A-level certificate that will be a better bet for entry to our local universities provided you have your head screwed on pretty well and are largely motivated for independant study. -
Every where is all not bad la, it depends on individual, after all which institutes does not have goals tt wants their students to excel?

and if u did normal for poly (not qualify for uni) u still hav ur diploma to fall back on .. so by weighing the pros and cons on each side .. poly is definitely better -

Fair enough, if you want to be an engineer, business or be in mass communications. But if you are seeking Arts/Humanities as your university major, it's much more straightforward however, to take your A-levels. For me, most of my studying was done outside of class. Class was just a place to understand the basic framework of the subject etc, and I did more self-study with like-minded friends because the rest are simply bo-chup and are willing to settle for a mere passing certificate.. -

If you feel that you are not learning much in class, please do your own research and studies outside too.
