How many of you..dont feel the CNY heat

I feel nothing at all..it is like any other normal day..except the only difference is..I open my mouth to say Happy New Year,gong xi fa cai
I also realise that less people care like for instance,I only see a man wear red so far

This year no CNY spirit at all. Relatives all seem abit withdrawn.. we're bracing ourselves up for hard years ahead.

those non chinese like malays n indians of course dont feel the cny heat n mood....
i think some r even pissed coz many shops closed den cant go shopping -

recently throughout the past few yrs, i realise the cny atmosphere is slowly declining

to me, it's only a gethering.
when my relatives Lao Yu Seng, there wasn't anything singificant about it as compared to the atmosphere I feel when we were with my friends and colleagues.
so sian.. -

I thought other years are better. This year like totally nothing. Go visiting, sit there, stare, talk a bit, watch TV.
They don't even gamble liao. Surprising. Even mahjongg sessions in neighbours' house also very quiet. Never hear pung, never hear hu. Nothing. New year food still got a lot, except home-made cookies, nearly gone. -
I don't get the chinese. This year, I realised that some are visiting their parents. When I was younger, they don't visit, they just stay at home, or worked without bringing their child to parents.
That is saddiest part seeing your child left at home without parents looking after them went they are younger

My folks are saying that colleagues are having less gatherings too. Most of my family and relatives are not in SG, but was talking to them yesterday, and funny thing is that it's so much more festive Down Under within the community lor.
The mood isn't here anymore. It's like people just treat it as another public holiday. Most people seem to be quite sian. -

The atmosphere is not there..compare to the other years where you can hear ppl shout happily during their gambling session
