Are you suppose to empty your sms inbox?

I have about 2500 sms stored in my inbox, can I know if there is a limit to the no. of sms you can stored in there before the phone starts to get cranky?

Most probably you configured it to save on memory card, since you say you got like 2500. Won't go cranky, cranky is after all how you perceive it only.

Why don't you just go to:
Messages
Delete messages
By Folder
and voila! All your msgs are deleted.
Just save the important ones you want
or just experiment and see how many msgs can your phone take -
I dun store so much sms.. for what??

I set mine to save on phone memory only and notice it gets wiped out beyond 357 messages.

i had 1000+ smses last time.
Decided to clear the whole inbox though some messages were quite meaningful. -
I'm using N3230. Got 3000++ Msges now.
Fcuking laggy and I am just too lazy to go through each and every one of them to delete. -

My V3i is worse. I can store barely 80 messages before my inbox reads full and I cannot send or receive.
