How to apply moisturiser effectively?

  I'm using a cream based moisuriser and the way I apply is to spread it on my fingertips and apply on my face until the cream dissapear. But I feel it is very uneffective as it is very hard to spread the cream across the face and when my face got in contact with water later in the day I can see white paste on my face . Any girl can teach me how to apply moisturiser the correct way?

  If you visit any temperate climates where the average humidity hovers around 25%, you'll realise no matter how you apply moisturiser, its always effective.

  what about dabbing a few spots here n there, eg ur chin, nose, cheek and forehead first then massage w fingertips?
  
  y cream based? can opt for water based ones lor..

  eh, is moisturizer to be applied IMMEDIATELY after toning?

  e idea of toning is to tighten pores, double cleanse (after washing), remove dead skin cells (rubbing it w cotton puffs,gently mind u)...
  
  i dunno how immediate u are talking about, but i'd wait till e toner dries up, then apply moisturizer.

  After cleansing, toning, dab the moisturisers on your finger and dot it on your forehead, nose and chin. if possible, on your neck too.
  
  using the fleshy part of you index and middle finger on both side. massage the cream onto your skin using circular motion.
  
  Forehead is do big circles across, from centre to your hairline.
  
  Then from nose to cheeks in sweepinng motion outwards.
  
  Chin is do big circles to spread the cream upwards along your jawline.
  
  Then neck, you can use your whole palm to sweep the moisturisers all over the neck.
  
  Then whatever remaining on your palm, you spread it over the back of your hands.
