  Handphones have a lot of functions nowadays.
  
  MP3 - yes, can listen to songs, with loudspeaker, or headphones!
  
  Camera - even 5 Megapixel? Or, the more common 2 - 3.2MP? Pictures are clear too! Some even have built-in flashes!
  
  Alarm Clock - who still needs a RING RING RING alarm clock? Just simply set your alarm on your phone!
  
  Short Messaging Service/System - living in the 160 characters world...
  
  Call in / Call out - of course, the basic function of a TELEPHONE!
  
  Video with sound recorder - a good, just-slightly-lower-in-quality substitute for viewcam/camcorder?
  
  Gameboy - feeling bored? Fun with games!
  
  With so many things integrated into handphones already, is it still worth it to buy a digital camera or camcorder or alarm clock?

  Yes. Why? I don't use my handphone as regularly as I do for other products.
  
  Those who know my handphone number, will know that I take a hell long time to reply, or worse still, no replies. Worse than when I'm using a PC.
  
  My handphone is only for outgoing calls - emergency uses to inform family members of what's happening and to report that I'm lost and need help.

  i dont have alarm cos using my hp.. but i think is still worth it to buy a digital camera or camcorder. as no matter what.. hp is still a hp.. thou is in megapixel, but is still not as clear/good as digital camera, not saying a camcorder

  Before we praise the handphone to death, let us remember that not too long ago, we didn't have any handphones and we still had dates, business appointments, portable music, alarm watches etc.
