Who here still living wif parents...??
me thot of moving out le leh...
for those who moved out... wat are the problems u encounter when u juz started?? -
Move out alot of problem.
Rent, food laundry and etc.
Stay with parent, just give an allowance and everything is done for U.

free lodging and laundry.
i would like to move out after i finish my studies and get a decent job -
you know how to do laundry ? ...
iron your own clothes ? ...
clean your toilet ? ...
change light bulbs ? ...
cook well enough that you would eat your own food ? ...
if you answer yes to all five ... proceed .... -

after cooking your own food, got to do dishes. after laundry got to fold clothes yourself. have to buy your own grocery. do your own household chores. etc etc. -

$$$$$ is a huge ass issue....
there are bills to be paid
if things go wrong and you need pple to fix, that requires $$$ also
basic stuff like toilet paper etc must own self buy
if relationship is good with parents, best is can stay with them for a long long long time... -

light bulb changing is easy
clean toilet abit harder but can do bah. at most eveyr year call professionals to help clean up the residues
erm can cook abit lah( instant noodles) but hor actually in sg no need to cook can eat outside hawker or coffeeshop -
actually, cleaning toilet is one of the easier chores.
just squeeze the toilet cleaning thingy
wait about 5 minutes
scrub
flush
wash the scrub thingy
sink: squeeze the cleaning liquid thingy
scrub
rinse
floor...vacuum and mop as per normal
i like cleaning the washroom. really!
but has to be one which i use and not those i share pple who arent relatives or CLOSE friends...

unless you have spare marnee to get someone else to do chores, it would be a good idea to learn how to do them yourself
after all, dont think there will be someone to wait on you your whole life...
and hor...when ur the one paying for your own bills, i think you will think twice before turning on the aircon 24/7 or taking a one hor long shower
and if u have to do your own grocery also....u will probably be spending more time looking for cheaper brands
at least you will if u arent bery rich... -

Moving out is ok best if stay with friends
so tat you dun feel so lonely
But be prepare if got landlord or other ppl staying with you

Statistics show that a lot of people still stay with their parents.
Can't remember where I read that from.
At least is more than what I expected. -

its better to live with your parents.

If you're just renting a room, cleaning is not a big issue and there's nothing difficult about changing a light bulb. But if you're getting your own apt, then your expenses will go up - PUB bills, S&C charges by town coucils, yearly expenses like property tax (maybe) and the super useless and lousy tv licence.
The freedom is great though.
