need help with D drive

I just bought a new comp recently and its my first comp with dvd drive.. i am a IT retard btw. so i tried watching a dvd on it. there was thing program, pop out and ask me to select the region code. i think i choose of one it and now my drive cant read any CD. it can detect original VCDs and Audio CDs. CD-r or rw it cant read. Anyone know what to do?

most likely is dvd drive problem, nothing to do with regions.
cdrs are region free.
i think got some drivers not updated or not installed.
go to the manufacturer's website and check for he updated drivers
