  How do you find the average of two fraction?
  
  For example I want to find the average of 8/10 and 5/10?

  8/10 + 5/10 = 13/10
  
  13/10 // 2 = 13/10 // 2/1 = 13/10 x 1/2 = 10/26 = 5/13
  
  long time since i did maths. but the average should be 5/13.

  Errrmm ok ok Let say
  
  3 person had some pie
  
  First: 3/10
  second: 5/10
  Third: 5/10
  
  Now average of 3 is 4.3 ++ / 10 right?
  
  Ok Now I got a fouth person... who have 8/10
  
  So he wans to share with the 3 so how?
  
  ((4.3++ x 3) + 8 ) / 4 ???

  8/10 = 0.8
  
  5/10 = 0.5
  
  (0.8 + 0.15) / 2 = 1.3 / 2 = 0.65

  1st took 3/10. 2nd takes 1/2 of the remaining 7/10. 3rd takes 1/2 of the remaining 3.5/10.
  
  so this fourth person. comes in after? or before the remainder?

  but when he comes in he doesn't know about who give how much. He only knows that the average is 0.43 and there are 3 person.
  
  Based on average is 0.43 and there are 3 person how he is gonna redistribute the pies after he add his 0.8?

  has 3 person contributing shares
  each of them have 0.43 shares. Now a third person wanted to give in his share. 0.8.
  
  How do you divide evenly again?
  
  (0.43 x 3 ) + 0.8 then divide into 4 again?

  it shld be fourth person right? if yes, average of 4 = ((0.43 x 3) + 0.8 )/4
  
  for the 1st post, average = (8/10 + 5/10)/2 = 13/20
  
  maybe you wanna post the exact qn you need to answer? cos it seems like everyone will be lost (or confused) sooner or later

  8/10 + 5/10 = 13/10
  13/10 /2 = 13/(10*2)
  =13/20

  average of sum of a and b = (a+b)/2
  
  if denominator is same for a/c and b/c, it is simply half of the sum of the numerator lumped with the denominator, or 0.5*(a+b)/c
  
  for others u try to make the denominator the same by finding the LCM.
