Currently, not many students would put republic poly as their first choice when it comes to the Joint admission exercise. If RP were to rebrand themselves as the "elite polytechnic of choice", it would entice many quality students who would like to associate themselves with a prestigious name.
This would give the polytechnic an opportunity to boost their image and further improve the quality of teaching standards by leveraging on the Raffles name.
