We have so many foreigner & expat in our country.

Bottomline is that Sillypore is a tiny red dot and no matter how many No.1 s it achieves, it will always be a tiny little red dot and will only shine for a little while.
Throughout history, no city state has ever survived....its like a flash in the pan and I'd give at most another 40 years or so...and many things can happen after that....re-integration with Malaysia etc
It's because Sillypore is so tiny that its resources is so limited that it will be its own undoing...No matter how much Sillypore tries to be the best in the world, its people will always fight for every morsel of its limited space, to outdo each other....just like a tank of fish, you keep adding more fish and some will eventually die, not all can survive....land is the key my friends...
We'd rather be in some country like Australia or China or even in the EU, though things are not as perfect, its much safer and more secure for at least another 200-300 years...and for our future children -
At least i'm happy we are not as kiasu as PRC people.
PRC Kiasuism will really make you go... "WHAT THE F*CK?" -

I just had my worst encounter with this form of kiasuism last Sun at Bugis MRT at 4:10pm.. train was heading East-West.. as soon as the doors opened at Bugis, abt 6 passengers and I tried to alight but were pushed back into the carriage by a big crowd led by 3 old "aunties"..Originally posted by mrsmall:not only for free stuff,

Everyone on the platform stood their ground, determined to board this train.. each alighting passenger had to use our body weight to push their way thru one at a time.. about 3 alighting passengers before me asked the crowd to make way to no avail...
It was my turn but everyone standing on that bloody platform just kept pushing in... That was it. I yelled "EXCUSE ME!!!!!??!!" That made the crowd stop n stare in shock, but they still didn't make way!! I had to use my entire body weight & arms to push my way out of the crowd (with the remaining alighting passengers trailing behind me) .. I pushed some ppl off balance in the process, but I felt they asked for it.
It's kiasuism to the point of stupidity. They could see that people were trying to alight. It's not like there was gold on the train. They'd be able to board much faster if they'd let us alight first, anyway! -

I think buffet eating can also become kiasu
some ppl just take and take watever is there
then after then simply dun eat
because i pay la

I had went oversea dive trip once with this so called 'friend' of mine. He keeps telling my oversea friends thru out that "singaporean are liddat liddat one... singaporean are like this like this... " I got so mad that I asked him to shut up in front of everybody and he should be ashamed of himself for doing that to us fellow singaporean. -

i haven seen a uncle eating a PACKET of fried noodles, and the aroma is just all around the bus...worst of all the bus is shaking, if the bus do a sharp break, think the noodle fly to the person sitting infront
