u need to craft ur storyline...what are u going to talk abt?
then work on a story board...then slowly build the framework...and beef up the presentation -
Include some pictures and maybe a video on how to make some chinese medicine and not all words

eh, i think more impt to talk abt the different philosophy behind chinese medicine vs. western med. based on the different interpretation of how the human body works. How is it u can apply knowledge of yin yang with the 5 elements to a holistic appraisal of a person's health and thus how to treat different conditions: Chinese medicine's view on preventative medication vs Western method of symptomatic diagnosis, advantages + disadvantages of both then look to possible hybrid treatments that compliment Chinese with western etc.

then talk about Cao Cao's brain cancer and how Hua tou suggested opening up his brain to examine..
Talk about the life of Hua tou...
go watch more Korean "Da chang qing"...
talk about the quest to find the 1000yr old ginseng, or some winter flower in the mountains that blooms every 10yrs..
talk about Wong FeiHong's Baochi Ling..
etc,etc...
If its history of TCM, then of course got plenty and plenty to talk about lah...but if its technically, i think u gotta consult a sinseh already loh.. -

well, u can sae to the audience the benefits of chinese herbs to sickness like 'obesity' (den u look at one fat person), 'loss of memory' (den u look at someone who's blur-looking). hehs. -
Interactive presentations
Teach them how to read symptoms e.g. the tongue, get them to examine their neighbors -
show some related pictures
like tcm shop, herbs, herbs brewing -
if many many other ppl are also doing on tcm, u could try going deep into specializing into certain illness..
for eg..
TCM for pregnancy
TCM for diabetes
got many many other.. and learn how it is use to treat certain kind of symptoms for that particular illness.
then u go detail about the plant use, where it come from and the way it is use.
if possible, bring along the plant or make some of the simple simple medication use. if possible bring something that would cause amnesia and give it to ur lecturer. so that he wont remember wad happen
if some of the plant cannot bring, make sure u find alot alot of nice nice pics.
ask ur best friend wife, google image to help you.
if u need to talk about some of the history behind TCM, go only to the interesting interesting part like wad the other forumite already mention.
dont be an old fag and talk about those boring stuff unless u studying diploma/degree in TCM cause most likely ur lecturer would have listen to them countless time repeatedly by other students. and history is boring..
and ur lecturer wont want to know which smartarse discover that 1000 year old ginseng is lousier than 1001 year old ginseng. unless he look like osama -

can ask simple questions then give out stuff to those who answer them correctly.

yea think and tell of funny jokes with Chinese mediciene lah... like example tell the joke that eating too much ginseng can also heat up and die.. and you're uncle did that and he was dead then luff about it so everyone can join in the chorus... or tell of bird nest has not medical values and luff that your fren john's mother for buying them haha and explain that she need some other medicience to improve her brain because she is stupid.
