1) Do a normal SBJ to the best of your ability. Note the point you landed on.
2) Close ur eyes, and visualize/imagine yourself jumping and landing way beyond that point.
3) Jump. You'll realize your SBJ has improved significantly.
The trick is, your body is controlled by your mind. And to your mind, there is no difference between imagination and reality.
This is also why the bumblebee (huge body tiny wings), which should not be able to fly aerodymanically, can do so - because nobody ever told the bumblebee that it can't fly.
You don't need the world to believe in you. You just need you, to believe in you.

Why worry about IPPT? Shouldn't you be sipping your Chateau Petrus while being chauffeured around in your 15-seater limousine? So much for being ranked as the richest billionaire for the 13th consecutive year by Forbes.Originally posted by BillGates:Hi all, Reading the Straits Times LifeStyle Section got me worried about my IPPT.
I'm not a fit person. I used to fail Chin Ups, 2.4K and Standing Board Jump in my sec school days.
Now, I can pull 12 reps, clock 10:30 but I still have difficulty in SBJ. 2.1m, if I have luck 2.2m. I think I don't know the techniques.
Unlike 2.4 and chin ups, which I can just use brute strength and force, SBJ is something I can't grasp.
I wanna employ the brute strength technique by training my legs. What can I do? Has this ‹ — (Gu Lar in Hokkien) worked for any of you?
