Did anyone here know about Chanakya?
It is considered that he is the Sun Tzu contemporary in India.
Chanakya, the world's first management guru (300 BC) from India has worked out in detail on how to manage an organization. Some of the challenges that are faced by modern economists and managers are very well addressed in the book Kautilya's Arthashastra.
"Radhakrishnan Pillai" is a well known columnist in Times of India publication on Arthashastra anecdotes. He is a management trainer and is associated with large organizations in improving their management practices. He has spent a decade decoding the knowledge of Arthashastra for the needs of contemporary management. He is in Singapore to conduct the workshop to address key business leaders in Singapore. He will also discuss the topic of "Wealth Creation and Wealth Management Principles of Chanakya" on 27th March for the benefit of individuals in Singapore who may be keen to interact with him about Chanakya.

Sun Tzu not only advocates good strategies but also is willing to use underhand means to gain the upper hand such as the use of suicide spies. -
Chanakya is not just an organizational genius. You may be surprised to know that he was responsible for all of Nanda Dynasty and also was responsible for being an obstacle to Alexander's march. He is a king maker and got two kings of Maurya dynasty rule the larger part of India then known as Magadh.
I understand Sun Tzu on the contrary is War General, (I stand corrected if this is not so)
Chanakya has written a lot of about accountancy and wealth management and investmet policies which Sun Tzu has not attempted.
Singapore government looks more like following Chanakya tactics than Sun Tzu as they avoid war and use shrewd business tactics to get things going for the nation.
