Forget about campaigns...Sillyporeans will always be a kiasu lot....no fault of theirs but because of land size, so small.....quality of life here will go down as population goes up to 6.5 million.....let's all leave...though pastures may not be greener elsewhere, but will definitely have more breathing space... -

Birthrate low arh... then let gahmen do wat they do best... import foreign workers/talents to fill up manpower gaps and abolish NS so males can start work 2 yrs earlier... can also help to fill up manpower gaps too...

How ideal it would be that Sillypore's birth rate keeps dropping till it reaches a point that its simply not feasible to continue as a country and its better off being absorbed as a state or province of malaysia or indonesia

adult singaporeans nowadays prioritise career first. i mean look around, at this modern era more and more people are getting career (or maybe money as well) minded.
so maybe coz of that they dun have time to think about marriages and having kids..? -

one must think of the whole world...
every damned country is clamouring for increased population (except maybe PRC) "for the local economy"
however, you have to think about the whole world right now.. water is getting scarce, the fact that we are producing food which nutrient levels are falling, the world is getting its resources taxed way beyond sustainability, pollution is destroying large tracts of the planet...
what do we do?
increase the population which puts even more pressure on resources which are way beyond the limit now? -
having a baby is as good as owning a merc in Singapore.
