urgent question about LAN connection playing warcraft 3

  1st of all FireIce please please dont lock my tread and ask me to move to the it section cos more ppl view chit chat
  
  ermm i wan to ask..how to make a lan connection so that i can play warcraft with my bro on the 2nd com? heres what i did but the host de game didnt show up..>plug in telephone line thingy into my ethernet port>connect the end of it to my router port 1>connect 2nd telephone wire thingy into com 2 ethernet port>connect the end into the router port 1>router connected to modem>modem connected to my telephone port thingy...i did that and still the game didnt show up..i am a noob in net stuff..pls help me..no " " replies pls serious serious

  whats the meaning of cross cable? issit i use the end of my cable connect to this computer de ethernet then the other end connect to 2nd com ethernet?

  1. find a nearby lan shop
  2. take $10
  3. walk to lan shop
  4. pay and order for 2 computer unit
  5. click the frozen throne
  6. play
  
  serious..u can check ur tray icon for the lan connection..then set it such that its connected to lan..if dont have the icon..go control panel and set up 1....

  open hamachi. do ur necessary stuff. create network.
  network name dota
  password dota.
  join. go to tft lan create game.
  ask ur bro to join the network and game.
  tada.
