Bloody pissed off with SAF. Why every ICT must cut hair until like goon du? Now hairstyle looks like a kid. Why can't they just give us the freedom to have a hairstyle we feel comfortable with? Very demoralising to think of my hair everyday until it grows long. How to train hard like that? We are neither secondary school kids nor regulars. We have our lives after the 1-2 weeks of stupid ICT. I feel like writing in to newspaper forums. Anyone thinks I should "feedback"?
i AGREE FULLY. We are a civilian army, we are not regulars, we have already make big sacrifices to our personal and professional life by commiting 2 years to the country defence. Why continue the same treatment after we are disrupted?
Basially this rule means no singaporean man can have long hair or dyed hair unless you are over 40. Is that not too harsh? I don't see the NEED to disrupt our civilian lifestyle for a 2 week thing per year. It is illogical.
I think we should be given the choice to have long hair or not. If SAF is scared about image, then make sure everybody in ICT change into civilian clothes before book out?
Also there is no point talking about wartime long hair all these because when we are in non war situation like none, things are suppose to be different, if got war, hair will be a small issue don't you think?
Just because it's a old rule does not make it is good forever. Nowadays we are a modern society and we should always look to challenge ideas and rulings that is illogical or unfair or simply outdated and be flexible or else we will never improve.
Anyone who want to help bring up this issue seriously can PM ME. Thank you. I been also thinking about posting a topic about this.
