RP Biomedical Electronics??

Hey..
I've been accepted into RP Biomed Electronics(BME). I applied thru DAE and there is no chance of appeal as this is not the course I wanted.
Since i am left with no choice, I need your opinions asap.
Anyone knows whether this is a good course to take? I definitely want to do engineering but I feel that BME is too in depth such that it focuses on biomed. My job options is to most prolly work at hospitals cuz its mainly about hospital equipment -_-"
I wanted to take mechanical engi or smth lyk that so that I can have broader job options. Don't talk about furthering studies as I dun have any plans as I just wanna get my dip and work for now.
So how ah? To take this course or not?? Do you think I'll be able to get other engi jobs with this dip?

You will not be limited to your choice of jobs, but thats only after you use this particular diploma as a stepping stone to take a bachelor degree in engineering (mechanical).

The name of the course sounds very impressive.
Let's hope graduates from this course don't end up washing test tubes the whole day.
Like some particular students from some particular course. -
study hard for 1st sem and get a high GPA. In 2nd sem RP will let u have a chance to choose what course you want to go into.

what do u mean in 2nd sem, they will let me choose a course?
A specialization? Or a totally diff course, something that I might want???...
I definitely want a future in engi, but the degree havent really thot about it due to some constraints so i'm fully depending on dip.
Dont wanna make a bad choice, waste time and regretting.

I believe you would be able to change to a different course. But your GPA must be above 3.5 I think...
But I think the prospects are not bad for this course.
Anyway, like mr_sotong said, you probably won't be doing what you learn in school lor...I was in RP's Biomed sci..but now in a totally different industry...

Science... Lolx 1 word difference.
I guess you wont work in hospital. As it says, Electronic. Probably you'll working with those big company who design and manufacture biomedical equipment.
