Why she can speak so well in two languages?

I am saying Linda Liao. I thought she is from Taiwan? And Taiwan people always speak bad English. But look at Linda Liao, she speaks excellent English, no Chinese accent and fluent English.
Much better than above average Singaporeans' English. And yet, her Chinese is so good. This is truly a person who masters two languages. No bluff.
How does she manage to do that? I always believe that accent is something that will follow us forever. We can speak good second language, correct grammar, but accent is something that we can't change.

weng qian yu of taiwan can speak 7 languages fluently.

Why not? Some people are language genius while others can only stick to one. She's belongs to the former group.

but if she went through the normal path of Taiwanese people, then only studied in Canada, then she is still a language genius, can adapt so well over the few years, totally changed to good English accent. -

other than linda liao is hot, beside that i don't really care much -
Accent is like a style or habit . It is acquired by the influences of the environment a person is in. That is why a Singaporean living abroad for a few years tend to acquire a foreign accent. Similarly, an Ang Moh living in Singapore will probably lose his Ang Moh accent and speak in a more Singlish manner.
Linda's probably spent a number of years living away from Taiwan which is why she doesn't suffer from the poor pronunciation skills of most Taiwanese and speaks pretty fluent English.
I haven't seen her speak in Mandarin so can't comment..........
Also, some people are just that much more gifted in languages than others...... -

Eh. I can switch between speaking english with accent when im with my friends, but I can also speak fluent English when I need to leh. Like in front of ang moh so they understand.

sometimes u can switch between accents oso when u spk to different ppl...for me when i spk to my ang moh frens i tend to spk more ang moh slang loh....its like sometimes its naturally u will wan to follow their slang when u spk to them
